  • What To Expect With Wellness Visits

We look forward to helping your pet live their healthiest, happiest life. Our comprehensive wellness visits include annual and semiannual wellness exams, dental evaluation and recommendations, parasite screening, and age-appropriate bloodwork and urinalysis. These measures allow us to catch potential health issues early, ensuring timely treatment and the best possible outcomes.

We strongly recommend yearly heartworm testing and feline leukemia/AIDS virus screenings, along with year-round parasite prevention, to protect your pet from preventable illnesses.

  • Vaccinations

Vaccinations are an important part of preventing disease, but we also understand when your pet is not a fit for certain vaccines. One fits all approach does not work for all pets. This is why we tailor a recommended vaccine protocol unique to your pet’s lifestyle.

We follow the latest recommendations from the AVMA, AAHA, and The American Association of Feline Practitioners.

    Recommended Core Vaccines for Canines:

Distemper, Adenovirus, Parvovirus, +/- Parainfluenza (DHPP), Leptospira, Rabies

    Common Lifestyle Vaccines for Canines:

    Lyme disease, Bordetella, Canine influenza

    Recommended Core Vaccines for Felines:

FHV-1,FCV, FPV (FVRCP vaccine),  Rabies,  FeLV (for cats younger than 1 year old) are core vaccines for pet and shelter cats.

    Non-core Vaccines for Felines:

Based on individual risk factors such as lifestyle, geographic location, and exposure risks.

FeLV (for cats older than 1 year)

  • Preventatives

We strongly recommend heartworm, flea, and tick prevention all year. This area is endemic to heartworm disease (transmitted by a mosquito bite). Together, we can take proactive steps to keep your pet thriving—because their health and well-being matter to us as much as they do to you!
